TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Perusahaan yang bergerak di media sosial, Twitter, akan membuka kantor di Jakarta. “Orang Indonesia telah menggunakan Twitter untuk berbagai agenda," ujar President of Global Revenue and Partnerships Twitter Adam Baim di Hotel Kepinski pada Jumat, 29 Agustus 2014.


Menurut Adam, Indonesia termasuk dalam pasar utama di seluruh dunia dan berkembang dalam menggunakan dunia maya. "Ada jutaan konsumen, mitra, dan pengiklan di platform digital."


Menurut Adam, momen kondusif setelah pemilihan presiden dapat menjadi momen untuk meningkatkan komitmen dan kehadiran Twitter di Indonesia. Pembukaan kantor baru, kata Adam, direncanakan dalam waktu tiga hingga enam bulan ke depan. "Ini akan menjadi kantor keenam Twitter di kawasan Asia Pasifik," kata dia.


Adam berharap dengan adanya kantor di Jakarta, layanan yang diberikan oleh Twitter dapat lebih berguna dan relevan bagi masyarakat Indonesia dengan memberikan konten yang tepat. "Sekarang adalah waktu yang menarik untuk berada di Indonesia," ujarnya.

Responsibilities:


Understand media landscape and related Twitter integrations and make recommendations on future media integrations possibly helping to conduct low-touch integrations
Manage, track and expand Twitter's numerous relationships with high-profile influencers in region; increase the active usage of Twitter significantly among them
Prepare VIT materials, including presentations, case studies, training handouts, and/or best practice guides.
Provide front-line technical support to key accounts/influencers users of Twitter, solving problems and escalating to internal support and policy teams as needed
Work closely with internal communications and outside PR teams around region/in-country communications
Participate in developing strategies that scale Twitter’s reach and impact
Prepare comprehensive reports on current market state
Proactively host delegations at Twitter from out of country
Execute routine management tasks, including coordinating internal and external meetings, reviewing and approving requests for account verification, managing outreach for new feature deployments, and maintaining contact lists for key users


Requirements/Qualifications:

Deep knowledge of the country’s cultural and political landscape
Exceptional understanding of Twitter and social media’s impact on region
Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, in person and in writing, to many different audiences – you want to be the voice of Twitter
Experience conducting data-driven analyses to drive decision-making
Comfort devising and conducting research projects
Mastery of Powerpoint, Keynote, Excel and all the other tools of business
7+ years work experience (or equivalent), including work related to the region
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia required, Filipino a plus

Rencana Twitter membuka kantor cabangnya di Indonesia semakin pasti. Seperti dikutip dari Mumbrella Asia, Twitter telah merekrut Rick Mulia menjadi Country Manager dan menangani bisnis Twitter di Indonesia.

Rick dikabarkan akan mulai “mengabdi” di Twitter Indonesia pada November 2014.

Sejak April 2014, Rick Mulia bekerja perusahaan travel online Wego dengan menjabat sebagai Chief Advertising and Sales Officer.

Sebelum di Wego, pria lulusan Deakin University juga memegang posisi penting di Microsoft, MSN South East Asia, dan Yahoo! Singapura.

Ia bergabung dengan Yahoo! pada tahun 1998, dan berkantor di Singapura. Ia bekerja di sana selama delapan tahun.

Pada 2007, ia pindah ke Microsoft. Di perusahaan milik Bill Gates tersebut, Mulia membantu membangun kembali bisnis MSN di seluruh Asia Tenggara. Seperti membentuk kemitraan antara Microsoft dan perusahaan media di Singapura dan juga Telkom Indonesia.

Seperti diketahui bahwa Presiden Twitter, Adam Bain sebelumnya mengatakan akan membuka kantor cabang di Indonesia. Pasalnya, Indonesia merupakan pengguna twitter terbesar kedua di dunia. (Hendra Gunawan)

Skill set to map Twitter KPIs to partner KPIs and prove a value-plus engagement partnerships model.
Proven success in negotiating complex deals and driving most aspects of the legal process.
Technologically savvy in both web and mobile spaces -- able to speak with confidence regarding technological underpinnings.
Deep understanding of the Twitter media ecosystem and the online advertising landscape.
Ability to adapt to and lead through fast-paced, high-growth, uncertain environments.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to work well in a team environment.
